Spring is Here!  March 20th marked the official date of Spring 2018. This year there are a series of trends that every fashionista should try and add into their wardrobe. Here is a list of top 5 trends to try this spring.

1. The color Ultra Violet, not only is this color Pantones color of 2018 but purple over is my favorite color. Purple represents royalty and who wouldn't want to feel like royalty? This year incorporate some purple into your wardrobe and live lavishly. Whether adding a purple beret, jacket or some statement accessories you  will look royal, even if you didn't spend an arm and a leg to purchase it. Keep on trend and look ultra fabulous while doing it.

 2. The trucker style: if you haven't already gotten into the over sized jacket trend, now is the time. Over sized jackets are super comfortable and easy to style. While the spring season can be warm,  during the earlier months it can get pretty cold. Use over sized jackets to your advantage and layer up. No one wants to catch a cold while enjoying the sun. I love using jackets, flannels and hoodies to both stay warm and look street chic.

3. Pastels: Whether lilac, pink or periwinkle blue, expect to see an array of pastel shades this season. Growing up I was not a fan of wearing pastels and bright colors, mainly because I thought those colors would not look good on my complexion. For the most part I wore black and dark colors which I still wear but I have found a new love for pastels. I love the way pastels and bright vibrant colors accentuate my dark chocolate complexion. So you will catch me outside rocking the pastel palettes.

4. Sheer and Transparency: Its all about what lies underneath this season. With transparency and sheer you get a sneak peak of someones body without getting the whole package. Its the peak a boo effect. I'm not sure how much into this trend I will get into but I might try and  add some sheer tops into my wardrobe and pair it with a tank top underneath.

5. Create your own trend: Wear what you want and own it.  Style is a way of saying who you are without having to speak, so use that and be unique. Each & every person is created different, so either use some of the trends to make your own look or don't use the forecasted trends and continue being your authentic self #yourdoinggreatsweetie.
